, the beloved Ohio teen who went missing from her family’s home in Highland County, sparking a massive search, has been found safe.

The missing teen who’s since been found, Madison Bell, left the house in the mid-morning of Sunday, May 17, telling her family that she was going to a 10 am tanning appointment at a salon that had just re-opened.

She never returned.

Now, as reports, there was supposedly no foul play involved in Madison Bell’s going missing, according to law enforcement officials who now say she’s been found.

The Highland County Sheriff’s Office says Madison Bell has been found safe. The HCSO also confirmed that Madison left of her own free will and does not want to disclose her location. No arrests will be made in this case.

ABC NewstodayOn late Sunday morning, when Madison didn’t return after an hour or so, her mother, Melissa Bell, and Madison’s boyfriend, Cody Mann, who lives with her family, went out looking for the missing daughter. By nightfall, she still hadn’t been found.

Her family had, however, found Madison Bell’s car in a church parking lot, but Madison herself was still missing.

The keys were in the ignition, the doors were unlocked and her phone was inside.

spoke with Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera about missing Madison Bell’s abandoned car, found in the parking lot.

“There’s no reason, so far, that we found, why she would’ve pulled into that parking lot,” Barrera said. The sheriff’s office has possession of the car, and Barrera said they found nothing out of the ordinary in it. “Nothing disheveled or looked like it had been rummaged through or anything like that.”

WLWT CincinattitodayNow that Madison Bell has been found after the frantic search for the missing teen, her family has released a statement asking for the media to respect their privacy at this time.

“We are just relieved to know Maddie is alive and not in physical danger,” the family statement read.

They expressed considerable gratitude for those who participated in the massive search for Madison Bell and who donated toward the $15,000 reward money they offered for information leading to the missing teen being found.

Even the Ohio Bureau of Investigation and the FBI got involved in the case.

A few days after Madison disappeared, an important clue came in, as reports.

A church employee told investigators they saw a white four-door sedan in the church parking lot that Sunday morning, and that it stood out because there were no services that day because of coronavirus. The employee believes the car had California plates and saw a white male near it.

NBC NewstodaySecurity footage from a nearby business provided the authorities an image of the man in question. They shared the photo widely on Thursday, asking the public for any information about his identity or whereabouts.

Thus far, despite Madison Bell having been found after going missing, and despite clues coming in about the man, he has not been identified.

And despite the report that Madison Bell has been found safe, the investigation into her going missing continues. Authorities are considering it either a case of abduction, or a case in which a legal adult — Madison is 18, after all — left of her own accord.

On Wednesday before Madison Bell was found, while the high school cheerleader was still missing, members of the Highland County community assembled for a prayer vigil, according to .

“Just please come home,” Bill Bell, Maddie’s dad, said. “I know you’re tough, do what you can. If you have to fight, whatever. Just come home safe and sound, that’s all I want. It seems like a nightmare. She had to be abducted because she’s not going to miss my birthday and all the senior events, because that’s what she looked forward to. Whoever has her, please drop her off. We won’t say nothing to you as long as she’s home safe and sound.”
